The Caterpillars Have Arrived
Apparently, the caterpillar community must be feeling
the economic "pinch" of the current times. Last year, we received 5
caterpillars, this year a mere 4! This week, we will begin observing
and learning about the life cycle of the butterfly. By the time the
students arrive Monday, these youngsters will surely be already forming
into chrysalides. We will release the butterflies before the end of the
year! Please feel free to stop in and check out the progress!

POLLIWOGS! |
This week we are learning about the life cycle of a frog! We had a polliwog habitat visit our classroom and are hoping for some polliwogs of our own thanks to a former student and her muck-boot-wearing Momma! The students will be able to watch the polliwogs grow and hopefully see them at least grow feet before the end of the school year.
We will begin learning about the life cycle of a butterfly next week when our caterpillars arrive. Or butterfly habitats are waiting patiently and so are the children.
We are also watching some duck eggs for signs of life in Mrs. Anzalone's classroom. Stay tuned for some exciting news....
With only 7 days of preschool left in the school year, we want to remind you that we will take every opportunity to explore the outdoors, weather permitting. Please forgive any sand or dirt that may arrive home with your child ;-)
